CHOYA tours takes you to live this incredible experience, to witness these giant mammals and their calfs a few meters away, and if you're lucky, touch one of the friendly whales.
We will start our jouney very early in the morning, begining with a complete breakfast in a restaurant so we can have a lot of energy to hit the road, crossing from the Sea of Cortez to Magdalena Bay on the Pacific side.
It takes aproximately two hours to get to Magdalena Bay where we will take a boat to do the whale watching tour for 2 hours.
The tour is made in panga boats with certain size and weight to not pose any danger to the whales, you will see a beautiful natural passage, birds, mangroves and enjoy the sighting of the gray whale, mammal that can measure up to 16 meters long and weigh up to 35 tons.
After the boat tour, we will drive back to La Paz where we will have a lunch in a restaurant.
The migration that this whale makes is considered one of the longest of any mammal; they travel approximately 16,000 kilometers during 6 months round trip, from the Arctic to Baja California Sur where they can swim non-stop for periods of 20 hours at a speed of 10 knots or more of speed.
Live this beautiful experience and let yourself be surprised by the wonders that nature has for you!
