Espiritu Santo Island

CHOYA tours invites you to experience one of the most amazing and fun tours of Baja California Sur, where you can snorkel with sea lions in their natural habitat, see thousands of colorful fishes, dolphins, mant rays, birds, coral reefs, rock formations, paradisiacal beaches, and sometimes whale sharks.

"Espiritu Santo" is the closest island to the Bay of La Paz, only 33 km away, formed by two main islands: "Espiritu Santo" and "La Partida" wich cover an approximately surface area of 100 km2, where the red of its stone, the turquoise of the sea and the golden of the beautiful sunsets are impressive views.

The biodiversity of this island is impressive, there are registered 32 species of reptiles, 98 species of birds, 16 endemic species, and a colony of about 350 sea lions surrounding the coast.

Declared a Protected Natural Area in 1978 and Biosphere Reserve in 1995, the region has over a thousand species of plants and animals, where 64 are legally protected.
